Cumming, GA · Serving metro Atlanta
We don’t diagnose POTS. We look at which parts of the brain may be driving the instability.
A neurological assessment for people who already have a diagnosis and still don’t have much of an explanation. You do need that diagnosis before we can see you.
If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so.
Dr. Diana Tyler, D.C., DACNB and Dr. Danielle Barron, D.C.
Doctors of Chiropractic licensed by the Georgia Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Who comes here
Most people who walk in already have the diagnosis
Usually POTS. Somebody else diagnosed it before they got to us.
What they don’t have is any sense of which parts of the nervous system may be involved. They have a label, a medication list, and a folder of normal results.
That’s the part we look at.
Straight answers
What we don’t do
- We don’t diagnose POTS. That’s a cardiology workup, and we don’t have a tilt table.
- We don’t manage your medication.
- We don’t replace your cardiologist, your neurologist, or your primary care doctor.
- If you need any of those, we’ll say so and point you in the right direction.
Cardiology first. Then us.
How it works
Three steps. The first one’s free.
-
A free 15-minute consultYou tell us what’s going on and what you’ve already tried. We tell you whether this is worth your time. Nobody gets examined and nothing gets sold.
-
If it’s a fit, we recommend a programPrograms run 5, 10 or 15 days, Monday to Friday. That works out to 15, 25 or 30 hours. The longer ones give you more hours and start you off slower. We’ll tell you which one fits and what it costs before you commit to anything.
-
Day one starts with the assessmentBefore anything else, we find out what we’re dealing with.
What the first day includes
- Full history. The whole timeline in your words, including what’s already been tested and ruled out.
- Examination. A physical and neurological exam.
- Computerized cognitive testing. Processing speed, attention and memory, with actual numbers.
- Vestibular and eye movement assessment. Most people have never had this done.
- Motor timing assessment. Measured on the Interactive Metronome.
The 15-minute consult is free. Any further treatment is provided at the rates regularly charged by this office, and we’ll go over those before you book anything.
Before you book
This isn’t for everyone
Tell us on the consult if any of these are true:
- You have new or undiagnosed symptoms and haven’t been worked up yet. Start with your physician.
- You’re looking for a diagnosis. We don’t provide one, and we do require that you already have one.
- You want something passive. These are multi-day programs and you have to do the work.
- You’re in an acute crisis. That’s an emergency department, not us.
We’d rather tell you no on a free consult than take your money for the wrong thing.

Questions
The ones we get most
What happens on the free consult?
Do I need a diagnosis to come in?
What’s the difference between the 5, 10 and 15-day programs?
Two things change: how many hours you get, and how fast we ramp up. All three run Monday to Friday.
- 5 days
1 week15 hours3 hours a day from day one. Both feet in, and it’s intense. - 10 days
2 weeks25 hours2 hours a day the first week, 3 the second. A slower start. - 15 days
3 weeks30 hours1 hour a day the first week, 2 the second, 3 the third. The most hours and the slowest start, for people who are very sensitive.
A longer program means more hours and a slower start. You get both, not one or the other.
Which one we recommend depends on the consult, how long you’ve had symptoms, how bad they are, and how well your system handles care. We’ll go over the difference and the cost before you commit.
Is this chiropractic adjustments?
Adjustment is one tool available, but the majority of the work is neurological rehabilitation. Depending on what you need, we work from a neurological, metabolic and structural perspective.
The metabolic side is simple enough. To change the brain, it needs the raw materials to do it:
- Oxygen
- Glucose, or some stable source of fuel
- Mitochondria doing their job, since that’s where the cell’s energy comes from
Without those, the exercises don’t have much to work with. So we check the fuel supply instead of assuming it’s there.
Do you take insurance?
How far do people travel to get here?
What if you can’t help me?
Fifteen minutes, no cost
Tell us what’s going on. We’ll tell you straight whether it’s worth your time.
